Thank you T. R. Das. Thanks to Arvind Singh for sharing the link regarding Golden Rice. May I know the Vit. A composition in Golden Rice. Brown and Black rice varieties are also known for better nutrient composition. If the composition is comparable, I think naturally developed varieties are better.

Black rice is available in few places at Eastern Vidarbha Zone of Maharashtra but most of the farmers go for normal varieties.

Please share if any quality parameters data of farmer field produce golden rice with comparison to the local, traditional or hybrid varieties. Actually many things in the news but not found any farmer field produce quality data.
