How does the ink formulation contribute to the electrochemical performance of a catalyst? Are we supposed to find the best formulation for a given catalyst by trial and error? I have been preparing the same catalyst with different formulation recipes (keep the catalyst and Nafion amounts constant and change the alcohol/water ration) and I am getting significantly different current densities for the same catalyst. I was wondering how I can address the effect of alcohol/water mixture ratio on the performance of the catalyst? Any help would be really appreciated!
