Hi,

I am studying on the effect of activated carbon particle size to supercapacitor electrode physicochemical and electrochemical properties.

I am planning to use laser diffraction particle size (LDPS) analyser but i cannot perform the analysis until i know the refractive and absorption index for my commercial coconut activated carbon. I cannot find any published paper that state the refractive and absorption index for activated carbon even though the published journal paper used  LDPS to calculate their activated carbon particle size.

I've found a book that state the refractive index of carbon black. So, is it applicable if i assume the refractive index of my acitvated carbon is the same as carbon black?

What instrument that i can use to analyse the refractive index for my activated carbon?

Hope for the reply

Thank you
