I am working on the classification of minerals using AVIRIS Cuprite data, I have classified minerals (such as alunite, kaolinite, buddingtonite and chlorite+muscovite) using the full range of wavelength, i.e. 400nm to 2500nm. These minerals are identified, only with vibrational absorption features ( wavelength range ='2000-2400nm'). However, i have classified minerals using full range where there is a possibility of Fe-bearing minerals(in the region of 400-1400nm).will it affect my results?. If i submit my work to the journal, what reviewer will give comments?

rule of thumb: include whatever gives significant results resp. allows to refine results.
Omit/neglect whatever does not contribute to the result. If one of the omitted topics is "normally" considered to be relevant, show why it is not relevant in your special case.
SUCH work should be recognized as "competent" :)
