To ensure that translated instruments have a pragmatic validity and thus will be both used and and that the results will be of interest to clinical practice, my question regards the optimal procedure for testing pragmatic validity of instruments after translation. What are your recommendations and experiences?

You are wise to employ usage (pragmatic) indices when trying to translate an instrument from one language to another. As the Bay Area Bilingual Education League (BABEL) emphasized and numerous researchers have suggested, since their is little or no one-to-one correspondence between superficial aspects of language structure (including vocabulary) across even language from the same language family, direct translation may only work with usage parameters rather than structural parameters. I have attached a few articles where out work has commented on this. I would also recommend the work of Rebecca Eilers and Kimbrough Oller. Regarding your actual question regarding validity, you can design one of more study to determine how effective your translated instrument is in identifying problematic (or less competent) language users. As Ajab suggests, this kind of predictive validity is what is your ultimate goal.

You may investigate the test dimentionality in order to see if it is unidimentional or not. If it is unidimentional, it is valid.
Thank you for your valuable comments! I find it common that questionnaires are translated according to recommended strategies, but less often tested sufficiently for pragmatic validity in the context where they are intended to be used.
after translation, the instrument should be validated to see whether it measures the construct purported to measure. a panel of experts can see whether the translated version is important in assessing the construct. best
