I am doing qualitative research in education filed which I am looking at the teachers' experiences in different schools when they utilised a new teaching tool. I have chosen a phenomenological approach but I think there is a different approach that I might use it? what is another approach that I might use? What is your recommendation?

The phenomenological approach is relevant for your study. You can add other important components including, for example, a comparative approach that will help you to do serious comparison between different experiences, methods of teachings and curriculum guides used by teachers of different schools. In addition, you can apply the ethnographic study by visiting different schools and observe teachers in the classes (after getting approval to do so). You can also interview both teachers and students to see the impact of teachers
methods on students' education/performance. In brief, I hope ethnographic and comparative approaches help you in conducting this noble scholarship.
A great way to think about the use of phenomenology is to think about the phenomenon you are looking to explore. In this case, it is the phenomenon of teachers using a new teaching tool, with the idea that there will be a common experience across all people? Or, if this does not ring true for what you are looking to understand, then you may want to take a step back and consider a cross-case analysis, with each school (or teacher) being their own case. I believed that it could be interesting to investigate teachers' feelings and emotions during the use of a new teaching tool. In this case, a phenomenological approach is suitable. However, from the phenomenological approach derives different ways of conducting research (e.g., IPA). You have to choose one of them.
Nonetheless, I think that you should formulate your research question in a better way. Using the word "experience" in structuring a qualitative research question deals with a vague research object. In my opinion, I believe that, when you decide to use a qualitative approach, the phenomenon that you are going to comprehend is always an experience. A researcher could explore different aspects of an experience: a process (GT), a culture or practices (Ethnography) and so on. In particular, using a phenomenological approach means that you are interested in an experience that is important and meaningful from the participants' perspective.
