My sincere suggestion is to avoid using simulators for analysis of WSN.

Quite a few researchers also use Matlab and implement only the required components for achieving results. While I am not saying that it is necessarily a good way to achieve results, it is popular. The positive side is that one can carry out combined analysis and simulations in one tool.
