I have some questions:
1. What is the difference between social computing and social media?
2. Web 2.0 tools are identical with social computing tools and the human element exists in the Web 2.0 and social computing, so technically what's the difference between the two concepts: web 2.0 and social computing?
3. Can we say that the three concepts web 2.0, social computing and social media, are the same if there is no difference between them?

From my research and experience, I would say, they are different but can be used interchangeably depending on the context.
- Web 2.0 is a technology that allows us to create platforms for interactivity - where feedback and exchange are key features.
- Social Media are the platforms created using these Web 2.0 technologies.
- Social Computing is simply the branch of computer science that focuses on analyzing the relationship between human behavior and computer systems.
Many researchers use them interchangeably, and I think that it is OK depending on the context.

So summarize, first of all, the social media is a platform that uses Web 2.0 technology.
And , I totally agree with you on the definition of social computing but reading the article (Parameswaran, 2007), refers to Web 2.0 tools.
So these 3 concepts converge towards the use of Web 2.0 applications that are oriented towards the participation of individuals or social.

I think that your summary is correct. The overarching idea is that we should think of the WWW and social media platforms as tools to facilitate relationships. Initially, it was about relationships among groups of people, but now it is also about relationships between businesses/organizations and their constituents.
Evelyn's definitions are a super good answer. I'd just like to add into the dimensions of Web 2.0 user-generated content (UGC) which is in fact the core driving force of social media platforms.

Web 2.0 is the current generation of the world wide web that enables user-generated content (UGC) there by allowing easy sharing of information and collaborations amongst Social media users. Social media is a melting-pot or a platform or a tool that enable users take advantage of this benefit that web 2.0 provides for several purposes. Social Computing embodies any scientific method that enables the understudying of online community or social network users for the purpose of decision making, business intelligence, opinion mining, sentiment analysis and so on.
I guess they are the same... they are coined for special purposes... but serves the same purpose
Social media is an aspect of web 2.0. Web 2.0 enables users to generate their own contents thus enabling interactivity between the user and the websites. Social media enables communication among these users to link to each other and extend this to linkages to the friend/colleagues of each other forming a complex web.
