I just got confused which one to use PLS Algorithm or Consistent PLS Algorithm, the same confusion about PLS bootstrapping or consistent bootstrapping. All of my models' indicators are reflective with only one mediator and one dependent variable. Once I use regular PLS Algoeithm, all loading factors are good but with consistent one, one of the items have low loading factors.
I just read a book, copy here. I guess I found the answer
The traditional PLS algorithm “tends to overestimate the loadings in absolute value, and to underestimate multiple and bivariate (absolute) correlations between the latent variables….The advantage of PLSc is that it is ‘well calibrated’, i.e. it will produce the true parameter values for the models we discuss when applied to the ‘population’” (Dijkstra & Schermelleh-Engel, 2015: 586). Traditional PLS also underestimates the R-squared value of endogenous latent variables (Dijkstra, 2010).
Normal PLS Algorithm is used for Formative Scales whereas, Consistent PLS Algorithm is used for Reflective scales.

Run the Consistent PLS Algorithm if ALL the factors are reflective. If you have formative and reflective factors, then use the regular PLS Algorithm.

Now in latest versions consistent PLS algorithm has been eliminated because the results deviates and further research on consistent algorithm is also stopped because henseler is no more working with PLS SEM team.. so Prof Ringle has decided to go with simple algorithm and bootstrap

In the model of my research all constructs are reflective. When I continue with consistent PLS Algorithm, the results (outer facotr loadings, some VIF values, confidence intervals, etc.) are lower then the results in PLS Algorithm. Should Consistent PLS Algorithm be used even if all constructs are reflective?

You should follow Consistent PLS algorithm for the formative constructs and the other side, you should work with regular PLS algorithm for the reflective constructs. So, you must analysis these constructs separately. Björn Gerdle
