I'm curious to know how far we are currently with mapping carbon stocks in natural vegetation. Obviously, remote sensing can do a lot, but I would be interested to hear what techniques are being applied or investigated. That could be related to both the sensors being used or the statistics that are applied . We have experimented quite a lot with high (spatial) resolution imagery and LIDAR, but I could imagine other techniques are being investigated as well.
