What is the best transport protocol which can be used to transmit the data in vehicular Ad Hoc networks (VANET)?

Reliable or unreliable data transmission

The definition of the "best" depends on the context. TCP is generally used for reliable data transfer. For wireless links and ad hoc networks, few versions of TCP are proposed in the literature. I suggest the following reading list.
