Hello, I am trying to determine the best Raman laser excitation wavelength for use in studying large Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs). By large, lets say coronene (24 carbon atoms) and above (~78 carbon atoms).

I realize a lot depends on the structure of the specific PAH. Based on my research it seems to be a wavelength of 632.8 nm for most PAHs, coronene being the exception.

Does anyone have any experience with the UV excitation regarding the Raman spectroscopy of PAHs?

Thank you.
