Easiest method is via gravitational separation, letting the system settle down on it's own density differences, creating 3 layers which then easily to be separated. What if the mixture is an emulsified mixture. Is there any system either by physical or chemical means to effectively separate the mixture?
By gas do you mean gasoline or do you mean gases such a methane? If that is the case, then you only need to worry about oil/water/grit. And as Syamsul said, gravity will do the trick for you. However, I am not sure it is so easy to separate grit from oil.
The gases are methane and other lower chain carbons. Agreed about the grit, but do we need to heat up the mixture stream as the surrounding temp can be as low as 0-15 degree C during winter? How can we extract MEG from the mixture to be recycled back in the system?
