I have a tube that I want to measure 3 directional forces and torques (Fx,Fy,Fz,Mx,My,Mz) in a section, but I have some vague points. For instance, if I use one strain gauge along the tube, its output is a strain related to a stress that is sum of the stress caused by axial force and stress caused by bending moment. I want each stress separately to measure all 6 forces and moments in that section. So I need an appropriate arrangement of strain gauges that its output is values of 3 forces and 3 moments in one section of a tube. Do you know this arrangement and its equations for calculating these 6 forces and moments? I appreciate your help.

I already have this document, but it does not solve my problem. I want to measure all 6 forces and moments in a section caused by combined external forces and torques simultaneously. The document that you suggested, shows an approach to measure pure forces or torques, not combined.

Can you not measure each (orthogonal) component at the time and then combine them as you like?

I have one question. To what the Fx1,Fx2,Fx3 and Fx4 refer to?
In addition, I have a document that calculates a bending moment and an axial force with a special arrangement that its equations are like 120 rosette's equations, but with this method I can only measure one force and one moment. I attached this document. This document mentions that in strain equation of 120 rosette, the first term is related to axial force, and the second is related to moment. Is governing equations in your suggested method is similar to what is in this document and how? I appreciate your help.
