It is a broad question of answering so I hope this answer serves as a small contribution. I think that a very interesting aspect that is developing in the educational field is the subject of gamification.
Gamification could be understood as "The application of typical elements of game playing (e. g. point scoring, competition with others, rules of play) to other areas of activity, typically as an online marketing technique to encourage engagement with a product or service".
We could be critical of this approach because what lies below is the behavioral model, but the reality is that certain tools like Kahoot (https://kahoot.it/) work very well in the classroom. Students are more motivated to learn and technology has become a central element of teaching.
I agree with Ruben and have found game playing very helpful in teaching history. It allows students to enter into the mindset of persons living in a time centuries removed from our own and to form an investment in successfully managing those circumstances. In the process, students learn history without having to memorize various names and dates.
thank you for paying attention to my question, now what about philosophy of education? which school or philosopher do you know that today, focuses on the philosophy of education and take a lot of attention.
