In 2004 Jeff Hawkins together with Sandra Blakeslee published a book called "On Intelligence". This book, in a very ambitious fashion presented a theory of the whole cortex and human intelligence. Also, the author claimed this would help to produce intelligent machines. So, what have being the consequences of these ideas in the neurosciences and the artificial intelligence fields? Are there any papers or books criticizing, defending or elaborating them?
