Generally the data will compact in a magnetic space in shape of 0 & 1 .

No, the data isn't "erased", it may be overwritten, but there is no way to harvest the energy as such.
Only the head of the file gets removed from disk table. After some time, the space used by the data get overwritten by some other data.
