Are you familiar with the US News and World Report ranking of hospitals? It is based on: 1) reputation; 2) structural elements; 3) outcomes; 4) patient satisfaction and 5) safety scores. The weight assigned to each changes a bit, as do components of the elements.

I agree withother valuable answers regarding ranking, however, there is an important thing which is accreditation system, if the hospital got it its mean it is following most of the quality processes.
