Factors like textural properties of semiconductor particles ( porosity , morphology ,surface area and film thickness ) and dye adsorption time may play an important role in efficient dye adsorption. These fabrication factors must be optimized simultaneously to obtain efficient dye adsorption and hence efficient DSSC performance.
Surface net charge of both semiconductor and dye molecules is suggested to be one of the reasons of efficient adsorption .It can be expected that a strong attraction forces between the positive sites of cationic dyes and the anionic sites of the semiconductor .
It is mainly due enhanced surface area of semiconductor thin film prepared from nano particles. This also depends on porosity and morphology of the film.
