I am currently working on a project on social protection in the Senegalese informal economy. While we will be specifically looking into financing mechanisms for voluntary health insurance schemes, in this phase I am broadly interested in challenges related to extending social protection into the informal economy; policy options (for governments and donors); institutional mechanisms; etc.

personally, i would consider building around 3 vantage points: 1) objective/ purpose (having a clear purpose, also that align with stakeholders like politicians and donors), 2) transparency (open and clear about goals), 3) accountability (being able to show that goals are achieved).
in my mind, social protection in the context of economy verges into informal lending and informal entrepreneurship. the objectives or goals should be similar
