In a November 9th 2016 publication of Nature News (Donald Trump's election win stuns scientists ) - Michael Lubell, director of public affairs for the American Physical Society in Washington DC.was quoted as saying “ “Trump will be the first anti-science president we have ever had,” The consequences are going to be very, very severe.”
Does a Trump presidency have dire consequences for science research or are scientists just being pessimistic
Trump is not GOD. His policies may have influence on many things but not so much as to cause serious undesirable change. Trump is jump starting with negative public image. Ideally, he should strive hard to gain public supportt whcih means he has to focus on good governance in all aspcets possible, including science. I am sure he will be guided well.
Thanks @ Pilar González Llerena, I think things ma not change, although I am not sure if the status-quo is desirable to researchers.@ Apurva Kumar, sure he is not God and there's a limit to what he can do ,but necesity is laid on him to excel. I am only hoping he wold do so with science too
