What are the differences, in wings situation, between KITE (bird) and other birds of prey when picking up their prey? How IT stretches and directs ITS wings.

Thank you very much for your constructive answer. I was searching for the meaning and the origin of the word of الميلان – take a look , please , at my question about this word. I searched for such information and I found many websites except this one.
As this site showed "Kites have scavenging food habits" and this description among the structure of الميلان makes a very vivid image of الميلان . However up to this point I'm not sure of the word origin though a Spanish friend (Raúl M. Falcón) directed me toward red kite when I asked him about the word 'milan' in an Andalusi Arabic proverb لا للميلان إلا ما يختطف.
Also feeding on carrion may be the reason for believing in "the kite الحَدَأة to be killed" in some area of Islamic world .
