In the case of user as an organization, monitoring is inevitable in cloud environments. The major problem in having centralized monitoring would be to have uniform monitoring rules at the provider side as well as at the user side. Hence, a robust, yet fine grained monitoring policy framework is being thought of, which will be customizable for users and auditability needs. The framework needs to have monitoring rules which can be mapped to user logs/activities so as to maintain compliance/non-compliance logs and generate violation events in cloud usage. Please help me in this.
Another interesting aspect is the question of how to maintain uniform monitoring rules across cloud providers. Ideally, you should integrate with, rather than replace, existing cloud monitoring platforms such as CloudWatch and AzureWatch.
