According to me, the AI industry requires engineers to think in new ways, so imagination is a vital skill. In order to solve challenging problems using analytical thinking, engineers must use logic and reasoning to come up with new ideas.
One way to visualize the skills needed for artificial intelligence is to decompose the phrase into its two components: artificial and intelligence.
First, one needs a solid grasp of computer coding, and in particular python. Beyond this, one also needs to be able to think like a machine. For instance, imagine I have the question of who is the best actor. It is easy for a person to watch several movies and decide, but a computer find this problem very difficult because it involves intense visual and auditory learning. A great AI engineer has to be very adept at understanding how machines can think, and this understanding needs to come from a solid grounding in linear algebra and probability. Deriving gradient descent algorithms may not be necessary, but understanding classifier risk and VC dimension, for instance, is.
Second, one needs intelligence Implementing AI algorithms requires a clear understanding of the problem, a logical and creative solution, and a strong ability to think outside of the box. These skills really are crucial in all aspects of AI. I have often seen students who are very talented at math competitions become excellent at AI.
Hopefully this helps, and best of luck with your work.
There are need to focus on intelligence . What is the intelligence and how to development takes place of intelligence by learning ? There are also need to under stand the cognitive structure of brain by which human and animal learn . how we could develop this cognitive structure inside the machine by which machine could learn itself not would depend on algorithm and programming
Answering your statement "There are also need to understand the cognitive structure of brain by which human and animal learn ." I am trying to experiment how can we understand the cognitive structure of brain through the present wargames application, to slowdown what the leaders of our world are planning for a third world war in the next future, my elearning project which I shall submit at MERLOT annual conference shall build a network of very brilliant experts to understand more the cognitive structure of brain and develop longterm peace projects
Cecilia-Irene Loeza-Mejía I would be hesitant to recommend just "data science", because it leads to going away from what "artificial intelligence" as a field was supposed to be in the first place.
Dear Adel Ben Youssef, answering your question "How to build these skills" ? unfortunately it is difficult through reserach gate, which is more individual research oriented, I am trying through acedemia.edu to gather some specialists, my email is [email protected] and my success story is building this collection where many contributors are participating since 2014
