I believe many urban climatic matters could be solved if the buildings could be inspired from nature, not just mimicking them but performing as such. Any ideas?

When phenomena from the natural world are incorporated in man-made construction, it is called biomimicry. A related concept is organic architecture which is a philosophy of architecture that seeks harmony with the natural world. Perhaps, one could start reading books on organic architecture — “The Philosophy of Organic Architecture” by Figueroa and “Organic Architecture Beyond Frank Lloyd Wright” by Green.
