Medical decision support system is designed using many data mining techniques. Can we use fuzzy or should we combine fuzzy with some other techniques to solve any medical problems. Is such medical problems suitable for using fuzzy?
As you may now you can deal with uncertainty in fuzzy models and systems. I think there are many problems with uncertainty in medical issues, and fuzzy gives you a new dimension to handle them. I've seen many researches in medical diagnosis which use fuzzy logic and systems.
I think, most of the medical diagnosis are done on the basis of probability of the identified symptoms. Hence, due to this very nature of the problem at hand, fuzzy systems work well
The Base of fuzzy logic allows to represent the knowledge mainly qualitative linguistic through establishing mathematical rules for working with numerical data and with linguistic terms which are easier to understand for human reasoning. Also allows to know the degree of membership with to a group or another.
For example we have the heights of people (high, medium, low) and need to know with to degree of belonging x is high, considering that according to the rules defined by experts to be ranked high height must be greater than 1.68 meters. This hypothetical case we can extrapolate to many areas: as medicine where a basic example could be applied to electrocardiograms for decision making depending on the acuity and maximum points to define, the patient is was given state (critical, serious, slightly serious, stable) mathematically knowing that possibilities to stay or change of state and help to know what actions to take.

The main advantage lies in the fact that it is easier to map a quantitative result on a linguistic expression. This does not improve the quality of the decision "per se", but the user's ability to comprehend.
About the reliability of the information provided, you must take into account the fact that fuzzines is not a measure of the probability of an event. The causal or temporal effects are not at stake.
Scientific connections should be demonstrated in this case, in my opinion.
