I prefer primary and secondary education by mother tongue. A child can learn better in mother tongue. No deny than importance of English language, it is an international communication language and everyone should learn.
I imagine that it depends on your aspirations. English is a very valuable language in today's global world, and working knowledge of English is often needed for success in post-secondary education. So that suggests an English-medium school. In addition, bilingualism is an asset in and of itself.
If you decide on English-medium education, though, don't neglect literacy in Bangla, even if you have to pay for after-school tutoring or invest your own time to make sure that your child is literate in both languages. I have so many relations and friends who went to English-medium schools without their parents facilitating literacy in the home language. All regretted not being skilled at reading and writing in their heritage language.
I wish to express my gratitude and best regards to you for your nice comments and contributions. Yes, you are correct. Thank you so much for your contributions.
in my personal point of view, its better to use your first language as to easy to comprehend in any ways of communication or conversation w/in your locality. however english is a universal usage for as many where ever you'll go around the world specially in business and tourism purposes.

English is an international language and higher education level every thing could be done by this language. So the knowledge of English is very urgent. School going children may be taken, their education in Bangla or English medium school, it's not a big issue, but we should have to take care one matter, which is to learn English soundly.
For the school education, Mother tongue should be the medium of instruction. A child is easy to comprehend the knowledge when delivered in mother tongue. Once the child is thorough in knowledge, English is not difficult to comprehend. For example Hon'able prime Minister of India has studied in local school in mother tongue and is respected world over, Ex President of India Dr Abdul Kalam studied in local language and went on to become Head, ISRO. Swami Ramdev, who has established Patanjali Yogpeeth, Haridwar, India, has studied in a Gurukul in Hindi and Sanskrit. He can speak many languages and can understand many more.

Mother tongue education is always preferable. It is easier for children to understand the concepts in their mother tongue. Your child can always learn English later on. If taught in English he/she will need much support. I guess it will also depend on the child's intelligence. If the child is very intelligent it may not matter. If the child struggle in school then mother tongue will be better.
