Acid resistance in concrete can be improved by providing a protective layer around it.
By adding rice husk can be used to improve the fineness of concrete and there by reducing the voids in the concrete.
If the voids are reduced there is no chance of penetration of harmful gases and acids into the concrete.
Simple solution for acid resistance and improvement of durability property of concrete.

Whether concrete has high porosity or low porosity, it will exhibit low resistance to acids. Acids start dissolving the concrete upon contact with the surface. No need to penetrate, therefore the micro structure of the concrete has no effect on its acid resistance.
