The cloud computing environment consists of several user terminals and service provider. The big data comes on both sides, as the user collects the data and, in dealing with the technology tools, the big data is produced.
I think, community is taking the balanced approach on the issue of transporting everything (data) to and from the cloud computing platform, which is a bandwidth intensive costly approach. Further, edge computing (micro-cloud) and fog computing has a bright future to host and process data locally and then forwarding the essential/required data to the cloud for offering global access to the users in terms of application and/or data.
