Yes. But that is just the first step in a collaboration...especially if the article is being prepared for submission to a journal. Often, I have the student prepare one section at a time for review, in order to make the task more manageable and the feedback more likely to be integrated smoothly. The student's first draft is just the beginning of a learning process.
Maybe at the beginning of a first paper, or not lol. I like working alone because then you have creative control and keep your data confidential. Collaborators are the ones most likely to steal your data and make life difficult. So do it alone if you can imo :)
In my perspective, it is better to collaborate with your students. It is usually useful to give them some advice as to the structure of academic papers and divide the work between them and yourself. Participation and sharing should be the cornerstone of science.
