Thanks for the answer but I think I confused you when I said Test bench. We are not using FPGAs, we want to build a system to test valves and need to control pressures and temperatures and so on...

I think Matlab/Simulink with Simscape is suitable, also you do some R&D about the Visual Basic, you can create links by (OLD) object between the language and files created by other programs you prefer to use, its very simple and powerful.
