SLEEP: Should "early start times" be eliminated at school and at work?

Research on children suggests that starting school at 8:30 AM deprives children of needed sleep and can lead to depression in the child because of lack of sleep. Is the same true of adults? Should "early start times" be eliminated at school and at work? Why or Why not?
