Thus far, program educational outcomes of most universities are academic and knowledge based, with an emphasis on cognitive skills, communication skills, teamwork, leadership, ethics and lifelong learning. Does the 21st century (with its religious and social turmoils and the advent of technology and artificial intelligence) require universities (or even schools and colleges) to include human values and emotional intelligence into its curriculum so that we have a new breed of people who can cope with the needs of current century?
