We need more dissertation guides at our university. Particularly in the IT area but across all areas. This requires regular interaction with the mentees, reviews of their writing and understanding of our process. This is an online process with three residency meetings (you don't have to attend these). Please let me know if you have an interest.

Capella University. Yes it's paid. There are milestones set by the institution and you guide the student through the in their writing process.

We hire part time mentors. You are paid by the mentee for your work as a part time employee, not an indepenent contractor. You are able to contribute to a retirement fund if you choose. You are not eligible for benefits beyond that for a year or until you become full time.
We have a DIT that we are greatly in need of mentors for. Mentors act as guides through the system and sometimes can be committee chairs but usually are members. We have BB set up that interacts with the students and Milestones they must accomplish to move forward in the system. Depending on the student you may have to help with organization, problem development and statements, chapter construction, research method planning, analysis planning and implementation. there are 16 milestones for this degree. I can recommend you to the chair who will then begin a conversation with you directly.
