I just learn to use Rsoft recently. I did a simulation for Y-spliter rib waveguide structure. My simulation is in 3D. When I launched the fundamental mode with continuous wave excitation type into the waveguide, I just get 75% power at the input. Is there any possible way to get 100% power at the input.
Are you sure about your waveguide (wg) design? What do you exactly mean about power at the input? If you mean the power transfer to the wg then you have mismatch at the input, so 25% of power reflected back. Then, you must redesign your structure to become match at your desired frequency.
What kind of excitation did you use (wg or lumped)? If it's a lumped port then you need a proper transition from lumped port to wg (Coax to WG Adapter). Otherwise, for wg port you must find the best size of port to have matching at the center frequency.
Obviously, in both case you have some loss and efficiency of power transition is less than 100%.
