I would like to ask you, do you have suggestions on any new research area around access control mechanism used in cloud based identity and access management system.

I was looking at security issues in MFA, SSO and LDAP but the areas appears to be highly researched already and this are the area I would like to focus on and find it really interesting - but I am just struggling to find current a security issues / gaps in the above mentioned authentication mechanism used in cloud based identity and access management system.

Do you know of any topics in the above area that has not been highly researched already?
