As this discussion has popped up in my feeds, I would like to say that if the lockdown wasn't imposed I wouldn't have got the free time to ponder upon various resources and start a research journey out of it.
I presented my first research paper at a conference this year.
It cannot be said that the Coronavirus pandemic has negatively affected the productivity of researchers, but rather it may have raised the productivity of these researchers.

Always we have to search for opportunities but not excuses.
In terms of time perhaps COVID19 pandemic made some opportunities for certain number of researchers, but reflection was negative for those who has more teaching classes. Because online teaching required more preparation and some difficulties in assessments killed researchers time and energy.
Online teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly reduced the time left for research especially for junior faculties. Preparing online lectures, material, quizzes and responding to numerous emails is quite exhausting.
I agree with Ikrom and Shreya. I have had more time for research as I am retired and have been locked down. However, my colleagues at the university have been extremely busy preparing new lecture materials for delivery online, and so their research time has been severely curtailed.
