C3d file format is used to store motion capture date. How can I read the data of c3d file in MATLAB then modify it and write back modified data to c3d file?

We have used C3Dserver (mentioned above) for this purpose and it works very well.
We also had experiences with C3Dserver. I confirm it worked well, but we found the whole procedure quite "clunky".
Finally, we decided to export the data in ASCII format and process them with programs in FORTRAN, MATLAB and MS EXCEL, but we didn't need to convert back the processed data into c3d format.
I know there are many software and tools that directly process c3d files for different purposes. See also http://www.c3d.org/c3dapps.html

btkWriteAcquisition for saving the c3d file after you changed it.

the answer that others have mentioned are correct. however, i use TSV format for matlab. you can use matlab function following link to read C3D format;
