Specifically, I want to know if the energy equation for these components requires the inclusion of a source term beyond conduction. This question is crucial for accurately modeling the behavior of the solid elements in a PV-T system.
You should take into account the fact that some of the sunlight's energy is reflected by the glass cover, meaning that not all of it is caught by solar cells. There should be a source term taken into account in the energy equation for these two layers (glass and solar cells), but not for the other layers.
