Bashier Ibrahim Osman I think that the main priority is to provide our graduates with the necessary knowledge and skills needed to practice that multifaceted profession that pharmacy is. I see curricula and study plans that dilute the pharmaceutics skills and knowledge component in favor or "patient focused" and "pharmaceutical care" component. What appalls me is that the argument for that is made at a very superficial level. I keep telling colleagues: "how can a pharmacist trying to provide "age appropriate" and "personalized dosage form" for a pediatric patient do that without extemporaneous compounding and without knowledge and skills related to dosage form preparation?". A well balanced, well -thought curriculum is what we need.
