Hi All, I've started to use PFC last October so I'm still learning the software..
I have modeled a grid (like a welded mesh panel) of dimensions 1mx1m. I have used not overlapping balls of 5cm of diameter and I'd like to use the parallel bond contact model as it allows to have moment.
My problem is assign the mech properties to the grid to match the lab tests. Is it better to assign the properties to the contacting balls and pb contact or use the deformability method? Are they giving the same results?
More in general do you have any suggestions on how I can calculate the mech properties of the grid?
