i want to learn about this feature (Clone From and clone To ) ? When specifically it is used (as we have duplicate command also) and how to use it in HFSS...Thanks in advance
but I guess, you wonder what operation is that in the object stack.
When you apply boolean operations, subtract particularly, you have an option to keep the original second operand as is, and apply its copy to the operation with the first operand. as a result you will see a cloned copy in the boolean operation stack. "clone to" shows that the object was LINKED as a second operand somewhere (deleting this cancels the operation). A "clone from" inside the operation means that it is a linked copy, and not a separate object. This allows distributing changes to all the complex geometry, when only one of its parts was changed. The bug, which was never fixed in 30 years, is that deleting the boolean operation does not remove the "clone to" handler from the original second operand, and it stays there pointlessly until removed manually.
