Hello, I am doing R & D in WSN localization using NetSim and want to know how to get the distance between two nodes and the received power at node x due to node y? Thank you
Also, I have a general question regarding localization. Will there be an issue if the 3 anchor nodes are collinear? Because when finding the inverse of the matrix I finding the determinant to always be zero.
Thank you Rahul. I have been able to complete localization in NetSim using RSSI and Trilateration, and get very good results.
I want to know what may be some additional research that can be done on this using NetSim. Is it possible to work on minimizing error? I always get the exact positions. How do I introduce error?
Hi Jalaj, You can introduce shadowing/fading in the wireless channels in NetSim. This will lead to some error if you use trilateration for finding out the positions.
