All excipients in odts must be hydrophilic and that should be capable of providing faster disintegration in mouth. any method that show good result can be adopted. wetting time and water absorption ratios must be determined along with general evaluation test for tablets.
There may be some approved methods for disintegration tests in a Pharmacopeae (excuse the misspelling), such as the British or US ("USP")
