You might try Avenza with Ipad to georeference, take photos on site, collect some minor site data, etc. If collecting alot of stand data, perhaps contacting the US Forest Service about any existing forest or timber data bases they use, it may be beneficial to use one already developed, with statistical, graphical and other tools, opportunities to compare with other locations, etc.

Thank you Willaim for response. I am looking for something to collect stand to individual tree data.It means several variables to measure.I will try Avenza and will also contact US forest department.
