Does anyone know how to produce a horizontal bar plot where I can set some min/max limits and mark the mean? Something like to "barh" plot, but the min value should be given (rather than in zero), i.e., the bar starts at min and ends at max, and the mean is marked as well). It should look similar to "multcompare", but mean may be anywhere, not just in the middle. Boxplot is not good (requires the data itself, not the interval limits). It should look like a Gant chart, with mean marked on each bar. I am afraid I need to write my own function... A useful answer might save me some time. Many thanks! PS: I attach a drawing.

To add a line that marks the mean, something like the following will plot a line segment at the x-value of "mean1" (e.g. the mean of group 1) and the y-value for a bar centered at y=1:
x = [mean1 mean1];
y = [0.75 1.25];
hold on
plot(x, y)
