Hello,
I conducted a LCA (MPlus) and based on the VLMR I'm thinking of chosing a 3-class solution. However, in one class my average latent class probability is only 0.68. I know they should be higher than 0.8 and I'm worried that reviewers might not be happy with this result. Now, I'm asking myself, if this low average latent class probability is really a problem or could I justify it by explaining that classes aren't always distinct and by finding a satisfying explanation why people form one class could also be in the other class?
By the way, all infomations criterion (AIC, BIC, ABIC, VLMR, entropy) lead to the impression that I should choose class 3 and not class 2.
Thank you for your help in advance!
