AOA Everyone!

I hope everyone is doing well. Few days back i wrote a research article and sent it to my professor for proofreading. At this moment there was 6% plagiarism in my article. During proofreading my professor thought himself to check plagiarism and ended up uploaded my article in Turnitin respiratory/database. Without me knowing about the situation I submitted my article in a journal. CEJ reviewed my article and mentioned that revision required as i missed to cite one picture. They have not mentioned anything about plagiarism yet. I want to ask

1- Should i tell them about this situation (as i have just checked it plagiarism and it has 100% now)?

2- Journals check plagiarism first before reviewing any paper or at the last?

Journal mentioned on their website that they use ithenticate to detect plagiarism.
