Presently in ICD 10 or DSM 5 there is no separate category for perinatal mental illness However postnatal period finds a place.ICD 10. Mental Disorders associated with Physiological disturbances & Physical factors’ block (F50–59), with subset F53 ‘Mental Disorders associated with the Puerperium, not elsewhere classified’ defined as follows:

1) episodes commencing within 6weeks of delivery

2) episodes not meeting criteria for other mental disorders

because of:

a) insufficient or b) additional features making classification

elsewhere inappropriate

There is rather in PDM (Psychodynamic Diagnostic Manual) 2 : S25 Maternal affective disorders. P 160

In DSM 5 there is a specifier for Major Depressive Disorder, "with peripartum onset". This concerns major depressive episodes that start during pregnancy or within the four weeks following delivery. The four week postpartum specifier has been a source of considerable discussion in the literature however that's what is in DSM 5.
