My first queery is , why should we study such issue , which has much less relevance in the pretext of cold tolerance of tropical fruits having far lesser events of frost occurrence....
Tropical fruit can not do well in the low temperature region called the temperate zones. In view of climate change temperate fruit may have researchable area like heat tolerance of temperate fruits
Every fruit is grown according to its preference to variety of agro-pedological conditions , especially the perennial fruits . They are grown after a thorough investigations on growing conditions, called land use appraisal. For example, tropical/subtropical fruit crops like citrus, mango , guava, litchi, banana, papaya etc are grown only under those conditions whch are predominantly free from frost events.
